A.A. Benjamin, LTD. was founded over ten years ago by Amy Lawch, who named the company after herself and grandparents, (A. Amy, A. Anna and B. Benjamin) who instilled her with a love of jewelry. Her grandfather Benjamin was a diamond specialist in the Philadelphia, PA antique jewelry district. The showroom is located in the elegant Uptown/Galleria area in Houston, TX.

Amy Lawch GG, ISA, AM, is a graduate gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and certified appraiser actively involved in the International Society of Appraisers, Ms. Lawch has been the subject of articles in Town & Country, Paper City, the Houston Chronicle, Houston Lifestyle, HTexas, and Jewish Herald Voice. Ms. Lawch is the owner of A. A. Benjamin, Ltd., a jewelry and appraising business in Houston focusing on antique and estate jewelry. She frequently lectures on jewelry and is on the faculty of the Antique & Period Jewelry and Gemstone Conference. With her BA from Northwestern University and MBA in finance from University of Houston, Mrs. Lawch has combined her international financial background and passion for jewelry into a dynamic jewelry business.

Besides her own business, Ms. Lawch is the Regional Representative for Bonhams and Butterfields Auctioneers. Headquartered in London, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles the Bonhams and Butterfields group has has been assisting clients for since 1793 in the sale and appraisal of their personal property. This international Auction House can sell your paintings, classic cars, space memorabilia, jewelry furniture and a huge variety for your personal goods. She was the representative of Ivey-Selkirk Auctioneers for five years. Amy represented Phillips Auctioneers from 1994 through 2001. Ms. Lawch managed Phillips’ Houston office and was responsible for all business activity in the Southern U. S. She assisted Phillips at their jewelry auctions in New York, London and Geneva.
